Refund Policy and Travel Fee Agreement

Refund Policy for Safe Secure Mobile Notary Services, LLC.

At Safe Secure Mobile Notary Services, LLC., we are committed to providing reliable and professional notary services to our clients. To ensure transparency, we have outlined our refund policy below, which complies with Michigan notary laws and industry standards.

Eligibility for Refunds:

  1. Error on Our Part: If the notary makes an error that invalidates the notarization, we will re-perform and/or offer a refund of the notary service fee.

  2. Service Not Rendered: If the client cancels with at least 24 hours' notice, a full refund will be issued.

  3. Unable to Perform: If the notary public cannot perform the service for reasons on our part, a refund can be issued.

  4. Overpayment: Any overpayment will be refunded promptly.

Non-Refundable Situations:

  1. Completed Notarial Acts: Once a notarization is completed, the fee is non-refundable.

  2. Missed Appointments: No refunds for no-shows without proper notice.

  3. Client absent: If all parties are not present at the time of the notary. A $5.00 inconvenience fee will be applied.

  4. Travel Fees: Travel fees are non-refundable once the notary is in route or has traveled to the agreed location.

Refund Process:

  • Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing within 7 days of service.

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days.

  • You must cancel 24 hours before your appointment to receive a full refund.

  • If an appointment has been confirmed a refund will not be issued.

Travel Fee Agreement

Travel Fee Policy:

For mobile notary services, a travel fee will be charged in addition to the notarization fee.

Fees must be agreed upon in advance and agreed to the terms and conditions below:

Travel Fee Rates for Basic Mobile Notaries (Tailored for Dearborn, MI):

  • Within 5 miles: $20 flat fee

  • 5-10 miles: $30 flat fee

  • 10-20 miles: $50 flat fee

  • Over 20 miles: $50 + $2/mile for every additional mile beyond 20

    Travel Fee Rates for Apostilles (Tailored for Dearborn, MI)

  • Apostilles flat fee of $100.

  • Outside of Dearborn 5-10 miles: $200 flat fee

  • 10-20 miles: $300 flat fee

  • Over 20 miles: $400 + $20/mile for every additional mile beyond

Additional Charges:

  • After hours and Weekend Fees will be charged double the fix rates above. Please refer to our prices under travel fees. After hour notaries will be between 5:00 PM-8:00 PM.

  • Notary Fee: $10 per page

Payment Terms:

  • Payment is due upon completion of services.

  • Payment method: Credit Card, Cash or Zelle.

  • Travel fees are non-refundable once travel has occurred.

Acknowledgment:

By confirming the appointment, the client agrees to all terms and fees outlined in this agreement. After filing out the intake form. You will receive an invoice outlining the agreement along with appointment details. This will need to be e-signed and returned 24hours before travel or appointment begins. However, if you have a disability or unable to for any reason a $20 deposit fee will be assessed. You will receive your deposit fee back once you’ve signed the terms and conditions upon arrival.
